During this session, we will reveal the importance of location, climate, soil, culture/history, and grape varietals on wine production. Through this discussion and by highlighting principles learned in the beginning of the class, we will show how the same grape varietal presents differently in wines across the world.

What’s in the Glass
The “LOOSE” Fundamentals of Wine Tasting. During this session, we will discuss how to approach and assess a wine—Eyes, Nose, and Mouth. We will LOOK, SMELL, and TASTE then discuss very basic ideas and principles of assessing wines, in order to make some basic assumptions and determinations regarding the wine in the glass.

The World’s Wines in 90 Minutes
During this session, we will travel the world and explore its major wine regions. By tasting the wines of seven, selected regions, we will assess the regional favorite grapes/wines and see how these wines have/or are impacting wine history.
